God Will Make A Way - Day 4

Day 4: God Works All Things

Devotional

Life does not always make sense. Good people go through terrible things. Prayers seem to go unanswered. Situations that should have resolved by now are still unresolved. It is honest and human to wrestle with that. But there is a promise that has carried believers through some of the hardest moments in history. Romans 8:28 does not say that everything that happens is good. It says that God works all things together for good for those who love Him. That is a significant difference. God is not the author of every painful thing you have experienced. But He is powerful enough, faithful enough, and intentional enough to take every single piece of your story and weave it into something purposeful. He is answering prayers you have not even prayed yet. He is working out situations you do not even know are coming. His faithfulness is not reactive. It is proactive. You may be in the middle of something right now that does not look like it could ever be used for good. But God specializes in exactly that. He takes broken things and builds something beautiful. He takes what the enemy meant for harm and turns it for your good. Trust the process. Trust the Promise-Keeper.

Bible Verse
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." - Romans 8:28 (New King James Version (NKJV))

Reflection Question
Is there a situation in your life right now where you are struggling to believe that God could bring something good out of it, and what would it take for you to surrender that to Him?

Quote
God is answering prayers that we have yet to pray. Our God is so faithful that He's working things out that we don't even know about. He is giving us victory in problems that we have yet to experience. Pastor John Pool

Prayer
Lord, I choose to trust You with the parts of my story that do not make sense yet. You are faithful, and I believe You are working all things together for my good and Your glory. Amen.
