God Will Make A Way - Day 5

Day 5: More Than the Miracle

Devotional

It is easy to get excited about what God does and miss who God is. We celebrate the healing, the open door, the financial breakthrough, the restored relationship. And we should. Those things are real and worth celebrating. But God has something greater in mind than the miracle itself. Every act of provision is an invitation to know the Provider. Every healing is a doorway to know the Healer. Every breakthrough is a chance to stand in awe of the One who broke through. The greatest treasure in any season is not the victory. It is the deeper knowledge of God that comes from walking through the impossible with Him. Jesus said it plainly in John 17:3. Eternal life is not just a destination. It is a relationship. It is knowing God, personally and intimately, right now. There is a real danger in enjoying what God has done without ever growing in the knowledge of the God who did it. The gifts are good. But the Giver is greater. As you look back at what God has done in your life, let it draw you closer to Him. Let every answered prayer increase your hunger for His presence. Let every miracle make you want to know Him more. He does not just want to bless you. He wants you to know Him.

Bible Verse
"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." - John 17:3 (New King James Version (NKJV))

Reflection Question
Are you more focused on what you are asking God to do for you right now, or on growing in your relationship with Him through the process?

Quote

The greatest treasure is not the victory. The greatest treasure is to know who he is. Pastor John Pool

Prayer
Father, thank You for every blessing You have given me. But more than anything You provide, I want to know You. Draw me closer to You today. Amen.
