He's In You - Day 5

Day 5: Stir Up Faith in Others

Devotional

Your spiritual journey isn't meant to be a solo adventure. Just as Timothy was influenced by the genuine faith of his grandmother Lois and mother Eunice, we need spiritual community to thrive and grow. When you stir up the faith within yourself, you become equipped to stir up faith in others. This is how the kingdom of God advances—not through programs or perfect presentations, but through transformed lives that inspire transformation in others. We need spiritual cheerleaders, mothers and fathers in the faith who will look at struggling believers and say, 'You can do this.' Maybe you've been wondering what God wants you to do with your life. Here's a simple answer: stir up those gifts, step out in faith, and figure it out as you go. As you do, you'll naturally begin to encourage others to do the same. The presence of God that flows through you will draw others to Christ. Your transformed existence becomes a living testimony of what's possible when someone fully partners with the Holy Spirit. You can create an atmosphere of God's presence in your home that's as strong as any church service. You can be the person who helps others discover their spiritual gifts and calling. The question isn't whether you're qualified—it's whether you're willing to keep stirring.

Bible Verse
'When I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.' - 2 Timothy 1:5 (New King James Version)

Reflection Question
Who in your life needs you to be their spiritual cheerleader, and how can you encourage them to stir up their faith this week?

Quote
We need spiritual cheerleaders. We need mothers and fathers, spiritual mothers and fathers that will find those little fledgling baby Christians and look at them in the face and say, you can do this. - Kathy Pool

Prayer
Father, use me to stir up faith in others. Help me to be an encourager who helps people discover and activate the gifts You've placed within them. In Jesus name amen!
