Jesus Understands - Day 3

Day 3: Anchored in the Land Between

Devotional

One of the hardest places to stand in your faith is not before you receive a promise from God. It is after. It is that stretch of time between hearing what God has said and actually seeing it come to pass. That space has a name: the land between. This is where doubt creeps in. This is where delays start to feel like denials. This is where the enemy works hardest, using unanswered prayers and prolonged waiting to whisper that maybe God is not going to come through. But here is what you need to hold onto: God did not just make you a promise. He swore an oath to keep it. Hebrews 6 tells us that these two things, His promise and His oath, are unchangeable. And it is impossible for God to lie. If He lied, He would stop being God. Your circumstances are not the final word. His Word is. And that Word is described as a strong and trustworthy anchor for your soul, one that holds you steady even when everything around you is shifting. You may be in the land between right now. Keep your anchor in place. What God has promised, He will do.

Bible Verse
"This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil..." - Hebrews 6:19 (New King James Version (NKJV))

Reflection Question
What promise from God are you currently waiting on, and what would it look like to actively anchor yourself to His Word rather than to your circumstances today?

Quote
"It's the battle between the promise and the manifestation. It's called the land between. It's that place where you have received a promise from heaven that says God is going to do this thing... But you have yet to see the answer."- Pastor John Pool

Prayer
Father, when the waiting feels long and the silence feels heavy, remind me that Your Word is my anchor. Help me to hold onto Your promise even when I cannot yet see the answer. Amen.
