Jesus Is The Answer - Day 4

Day 4: Grace Upon Grace

Devotional

Grace isn't just what got you saved - it's what keeps you going every single day. Many believers think grace was a one-time event at salvation, but it's actually an ongoing reality that continues to transform us. Grace means God got involved where we couldn't get involved. It's His unmerited favor working in areas where our willpower, good intentions, and best efforts fall short. Here's the beautiful cycle of Christian living: Grace produces gratitude. When we truly understand what God has done for us, we can't help but be thankful. Gratitude produces surrender. A grateful heart naturally wants to give back to the One who gave everything. Surrender produces obedience. When we stop fighting God's will, following Him becomes natural. And obedience produces fruit that changes our lives. This isn't about trying harder; it's about receiving more. Today, instead of striving in your own strength, rest in the ongoing grace that's available to you right now.

Bible Verse
'For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.' - Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV)

Reflection Question
Where in your life do you need to stop striving and start receiving God's ongoing grace?

Quote
Grace produces gratitude. Gratitude produces surrender. And surrender produces obedience. And obedience produces fruit that changes your life. And that's Christian living. - Pastor John Pool

Prayer

Thank You, God, that Your grace isn't just a one-time gift but an ongoing reality. Help me receive Your grace today and let it produce the gratitude, surrender, and obedience that leads to real transformation. In Jesus name amen.
