Hungering For The God Of Revival - Day 5

Day 5: One Hungry Heart Can Change Everything

Devotional

Revival does not begin with a crowd. It begins with one person who is no longer willing to settle. One hungry heart, one persistent prayer, one person who decides that powerless religion is not enough. That person can be you. When you genuinely pursue God, something remarkable happens. At some point in that pursuit, everything shifts and He begins to pursue you. What started as your reaching toward Him becomes His presence rushing toward you. That is not a formula. That is a promise rooted in who God is. And hunger is contagious. When you carry a genuine fire for God, the people around you feel it. You do not have to announce it or perform it. It simply spreads. You become a catalyst, someone who ignites the people in your home, your workplace, and your church without even trying. This is the hope of revival. Not a program or a special event, but ordinary people with extraordinary hunger for God. People who pray persistently, who refuse to be satisfied with the status quo, and who believe that God still moves. You are that person. Start where you are. Pray with honesty. Pursue Him with everything you have. One hungry heart truly can change everything around it.

Bible Verse
"Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?" - Psalm 85:6 (New King James Version (NKJV))

Reflection Question
If your level of hunger for God right now became contagious to everyone around you, what kind of fire would actually spread, and does that challenge or encourage you?

Quote
"Hunger becomes contagious. Fire begets fire. You will become a catalyst for fire. You will ignite people around you.” Pastor John Pool

Prayer
God, make me genuinely hungry for You, not for what You can give, but for who You are. Use my pursuit of You to ignite something in the people around me, and let revival begin in my own heart first. Amen.
