Faith That Moves Mountain's Pt 3 - Day 3

Day 3: Your Words Reveal What You Really Believe

Devotional

Have you ever noticed how much of your conversation is spent describing your problems? We talk about how hard things are, how long they have lasted, and how impossible they seem. It feels natural. But Jesus had something different in mind. In Mark 11:22-24, Jesus told His disciples to speak to the mountain, not about it. That is a significant distinction. Talking about your mountain keeps your focus on the problem. Speaking to your mountain shifts your focus to the One who has authority over it. Proverbs 18:21 tells us that death and life are in the power of the tongue. Our words are not neutral. They reflect what is filling our hearts, and they carry real weight in the direction our lives move. This is not about pretending problems do not exist. It is about choosing which reality you give your voice to. When you speak God's word over your situation, you are not in denial. You are declaring what is already true in the spiritual realm and inviting it into your circumstances. Your mountain is not permanent. It can move. But it starts with what comes out of your mouth.

Bible Verse

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." - Proverbs 18:21 (New King James Version (NKJV))

Reflection Question

If someone listened to your conversations this past week, would they hear more faith-filled declarations or more descriptions of your problems?

Quote
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue."

Prayer
Lord, help me to become more aware of the words I speak. Let my mouth reflect what Your word says, not just what my circumstances look like. Amen.
