Faith That Moves Mountain's Pt 4 - Day 4

Day 4: You Have a Track Record to Stand On

Devotional
David did not walk toward Goliath on a whim. He walked forward on a history with God.

He had faced a lion. He had faced a bear. And in both moments, God had shown up. So when a giant stood in front of him, David did not ask whether God could handle it. He already knew the answer.

In 1 Samuel 17:37, David said plainly that the Lord who delivered him from the lion and the bear would deliver Him from this Philistine. That is not arrogance. That is faith built on experience.

You have a track record too. Think back over your life. There were moments you did not think you would make it through, and yet here you are. God showed up then, and He will show up again.

Fear wants you to forget your history with God. It wants every new challenge to feel like the first time you have ever needed Him. But faith remembers. Faith looks back at what God has done and uses it as fuel to face what is ahead.

You are not starting from zero. You are standing on every promise He has already kept. Let that be your confidence today.

Bible Verse
"Moreover David said, 'The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.'" - 1 Samuel 17:37 (New King James Version (NKJV))

Reflection Question
What is one moment in your past where God clearly came through for you, and how can that memory strengthen your faith for what you are facing right now?

Quote
"The power that was at work in him, that brought him the lion and the bear that allowed him to defeat them."

Prayer
Lord, help me to remember what You have already done in my life. Let my history with You be the foundation of my confidence as I face the challenges in front of me today. Amen.
