Faith That Moves Mountain's Pt 3 - Day 2

Day 2: Faith Without Action Is Incomplete

Devotional
It is one thing to believe something in your heart. It is another thing entirely to act on it. Faith is not passive. It moves. It steps forward. It does something with what it believes. Think of it this way: trust gives you the endurance to keep going when things get hard, but faith is what gets you off the couch in the first place. Romans 4:20-21 describes Abraham as someone who did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God. He was fully convinced that what God had promised, God was able to perform. And that conviction produced action. You may be in a season where the gap between what you believe and what you see feels enormous. That gap can be discouraging. But here is the encouragement: God is not asking you to close the gap on your own. He is asking you to take the next step. God just needs somebody to step up to the plate. He will help you swing, and when you do, you will not miss. Your job is to show up with what you believe and put it into motion. That is where faith comes alive.

Bible Verse

"He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform." - Romans 4:20-21 (New King James Version (NKJV))

Reflection Question

What is one step of faith you have been hesitating to take, and what would it look like to actually take it this week?

Quote
"Faith takes what we believe and puts it into action."

Prayer
God, give me the courage to move on what I believe. I do not want a faith that stays comfortable. Help me to act on Your promises today. Amen.
