Day 3: It Is Already Yours

Imagine working incredibly hard to earn something, only to find out it was already paid for and waiting for you the whole time. That is a picture of what many believers experience when it comes to righteousness, peace, and strength in Christ. The armor of God described in Ephesians 6 is not a checklist to complete each morning. Every piece of that armor points back to something Christ already accomplished through His death and resurrection. The righteousness you are called to wear is not something you produced. It was given to you. This matters because striving for something you already have is exhausting. It keeps you focused on your own effort rather than on what Jesus has done. And it quietly suggests that His work was not quite enough, that you need to add something to it. You do not. What Christ secured for you through redemption is complete. Your job is not to earn it. Your job is to believe it, receive it, and walk in it. Today, let that truth settle in. You have been made righteous. You have been given peace. You have been equipped. Stop reaching for what is already in your hands and start living like it belongs to you, because it does.

Prayer
Jesus, thank You for the finished work of the cross. Help me to truly believe that what You accomplished is enough, and give me the courage to walk in what You have already provided. Amen.
