Be Strong In The Lord - Day 1

Day 1: Feed What Matters Most

Devotional
Think about the last thing that kept you up at night. Was it a worry, a problem, or a fear that just kept replaying in your mind? That is not a coincidence. Whatever you consistently feed your mind is what grows strongest inside you. Here is the honest truth: everyone meditates on something. Every single day, your mind is chewing on something, turning it over, letting it sink in. The question is not whether you are meditating. The question is what you are meditating on. When God's Word is not regularly filling your heart and mind, your natural thoughts will fill that space instead. And your natural mind, left to itself, will almost always drift toward fear, doubt, and worry rather than faith and peace. But here is the encouragement: this is not about perfection. It is not about reading a certain number of chapters or checking a box. It is about intentionally choosing to let God's truth be the thing that takes root in you. Start small if you need to. One verse. One promise. Read it, sit with it, and let it sink in. You will be surprised how much changes when you begin feeding the right thing.

Bible Verse
"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." - John 15:5 (New King James Version (NKJV))

Reflection Question
What have you been meditating on most this week, and how has it shaped the way you feel and respond to life?

Quote
"When your natural mind looks for something to feed on, it is not going to be godly."

Prayer
Lord, help me to be intentional about filling my mind with Your truth every day. Teach me to abide in You so that Your Word becomes the loudest voice in my life. Amen.
