Effective Faith - Day 2

Day 2: What You Don't Know Is Hurting You

Devotional

Ignorance might feel harmless, but when it comes to your identity in Christ, what you do not know is actively working against you. Hosea 4:6 says that God's people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. That is a sobering reality. It is not that God is withholding. It is that we simply have not learned what is already ours. And that gap between what is true and what we know to be true shapes how we live every single day. Think about it this way. If someone deposited a large sum into your bank account but never told you, you would keep living like you were broke. The money would be real. Your struggle would also be real. But the struggle would be completely unnecessary. That is the spiritual reality for so many believers. The provision is there. The healing is there. The freedom is there. But without the knowledge of what Christ has already done, we keep living as if we are waiting for something that has already arrived. You are not meant to live in that gap. God wants you to know what you have. And as you grow in that knowledge, everything begins to shift.

Bible Verse
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children." - Hosea 4:6 (New King James Version (NKJV))

Reflection Question
What is one truth about your identity in Christ that you know in your head but have not yet fully believed in your heart?

Quote
"What you don't know matters. It's affecting you."

Prayer
Lord, I do not want to be held back by what I do not know. Reveal the truth of who I am in You, and let that truth transform the way I live. Amen.
